Congressman killed by militant

Diphu, Oct 13 (UNI) Unidentified militants today shot dead a local level Congressmen near Bokajan in Karbi Anglong district.

Police sources said the militants kidnapped Mandal vice-president of Congress Lianduku Rongpi from his home and the bullet-ridden body was found at Chokighata, a few kilometers from his home.

There are no apparent reasons behind the killing, the police sources said.
