Congress behind "negative" politics in J'khand: FB
Ranchi, Oct 13 (UNI) Asserting that the Congress was playing negative politics in Jharkhand, Forward Bloc national general secretary Debobrata Biswas today said his party would have to reconsider whether it will support the UPA-backed Madhu Koda government.
Addressing a party rally here, Mr Biswas said the situation in state had been rendered ''delicate'' as the govenment was backed by the UPA but main coalition Congress and the RJD were out of the government.
Accusing the Congress of ''misleading'' people in Jharkhand, Mr Biswas said the Congress wished to extract political mileage but did not want to shoulder its responsibilty. He said the party wanted the Jharkhand government and the Chief Minister to act like a puppet.
Raising apperhension over the structure of the state government, Mr Biswas said already two Deputy Chief Ministers were appointed but three more MLAs were now clamouring for the Deputy CM's post.
Mr Biswas said the matter would be discussed during the three-day central committee meeting which would begin later this evening.
Speaking on the issue of byelection in Koderma, he said the party had not decided to support anyone till now, adding the decision in this regard would be taken in the central committee meeting.
Earlier, party MLA from Nirsa Aparna Sengupta said the party would not compromise with the MLAs who were sold for their benefit as their fight was against corruption and it would not be tolerated at any cost.
