'Communal violence may spread to other areas'
Gulbarga Oct 13: Leader of the opposition in Karnataka assembly Dharam Singh today expressed apprehension that the communal violence might spread to the sensitive areas like Hubli, Dharwad and Udupi.
Dharam singh talking to sources here blamed the JD(S)-BJP coalition government for its laxity in containing communal violence in mangalore and said the government did not take stern action.
Eventhough it was aware of people who instigated the violence.
He alleged that Kumaraswamy government did not react firmly since its coalition partner's ally Sangh Parivar involved in the incidents.
He recalled that the Congress leaders Janardhan Poojari, Veerappa moily and Oscar Fernandas tried to defuse the tension in Mangalore.
Mr singh felt that the government should have deployed more security forces to disturbed areas to contain the violence.
