Career training prospects for NE students

Aizawl, Oct 13 (UNI) New Delhi's Allied Call Centre Training (ACCENT) has started operation in North Eastern region so as to improve and equip the students here.

Considering huge unemployment, ACCENT had opened it's first study centres here and in Imphal in NE.

According to ACCENT officials, IT had been identified as major professional area in the region.

''Although most of the NE states have high literacy rates, however, lack of infrastructure is the root cause of unemployment among the youth,'' the officials said.

'' We want to provide standard training through comptent trainers with call centre experiences and standard course materials'', said ACCENT co-ordinator for NE Daniel Hauhnar.

The advantage of a placement office in New Delhi is that students who have been trained in the education centres here and Imphal can avail placement assistance, Hauhnar added.
