BJP, BSP members stage walk-out from Uttaranchal Assembly
Dehra Dun, Oct 13 (UNI) Uttaranchal Assembly was adjourned briefly today following bedlam created by Bharatiya Janata Party and Bahujan Samaj Party MLAs.
As soon as Speaker Yashpal Arya entered the House BJP MLAs entered the well of the house demanding discussion on the issue of irregularities in the recruitment process in Mini Irrigation Department's class III and class IV posts. BJP and opposition leader Matbar Singh Kandari said that more workers were recruited than the allotted number of posts. Meanwhile BSP MLAs too entered the well demanding discussion on 85th Amendment of the Constitution of India and backlog in Government jobs. Speaker adjourned the House till 1130 hrs within five minute of Question hour.
When the House re-assembled, both BJP and BSP MLAs continued the discussion. Speaker continuously denying the discussion urged them to take their seats. On this BSP MLAs staged a walk-out followed by the BJP members a few minutes later.
