An aged couple attacked, one killed

Anand, Oct 13 (UNI) An aged woman was murdered when she along with her husband was attacked by a gang of robbers on the terrace of their house at Chaklasi village in Kheda district in wee hours of today.

According to the police sources, the incident took place around 0200 hrs this morning when victims Ravji Patel (75) and his wife Shardaben (70), were attacked by the robbers while they were sleeping.

Police said, the couple was beaten up and robbed of their jewelleries and valuables.

Due to injuries Mrs Patel died, while Mr Patel was admitted to civil hospital at Karamsad town.

Police have registered a case of robbery and murder and further investigations are on.
