5 killed, 22 injured in road mishap

Lucknow, Oct 13: At least five people were killed and 22 others injured when a mini-bus overturned in the Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh this morning.

Police here said the accident took place near Fursatganj when the mini bus carrying 27 passengers overturned after one of its tyre punctured. After turning turtle, the bus hit a roadside tree.

The vehicle was on the way to Rae Bareli from Sultanpur when the accident took place.

The dead included a woman and a child, police added.

The grievously injured have been referred to the Trauma Centre at King George Medical College here.
