Valuair joins Jetstar Asia in Amadeus distribution system
New Delhi, Oct 12 (UNI) Amadeus, a global leader in technology for the travel and tourism industry, today announced an agreement with Valuair which will significantly expand the airline's distribution network worldwide.
The agreement will see Valuair join its sister airline Jetstar Asia, one of the region's leading low cost carriers, in providing its fares and inventory for booking and sale to over 78,000 travel agents on the Amadeus system.
Last year, Valuair merged with Jetstar Asia, the regional offshoot of the Jetstar brand, which was launched by Qantas as a low cost airline in the Australian domestic market. Valuair and Jetstar Asia operate an extensive route network covering India, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Myanmar, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines.
Amadeus is the global leader in distribution technologies with 39 low-cost carriers in its distribution system. This represents 37.4 per cent of the world's low cost carriers.
