US stocks extend losses after NY aircraft crash

NEW YORK, Oct 11 (Reuters) US stocks extended losses on Wednesday after an aircraft crashed into a building in New York City.

The Dow Jones industrial average was down 65.79 points, or 0.55 percent, at 11,801.38. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was down 8.87 points, or 0.66 percent, at 1,344.55. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 21.05 points, or 0.91 percent, at 2,294.38.
