2 suicide blasts wound several in Afghanistan

KHOST, Afghanistan, Oct 12: Two suicide bombers, one targetting foreign troops and another Afghan soldiers, blew themselves up in the southeastern province of Khost today, wounding several people.

Several civilians and two Afghan soldiers were wounded in the attacks, officials and witnesses said, adding they did not know if there were foreign casualties.

Ariana private television station cited its reporter at the scene saying 16 people were wounded, but did not give details.

One attack happened a few hundred metres from the provincial governor's office in Khost city and the second on a road south of the city.
