Two Lankans held with bogus visas
Chennai, Oct 12 (UNI) Airport police have arrested two Sri Lankans for attempting to fly to Greece via London by producing bogus visas at Anna International Airport here.
Police said the arrested Athi Thuruban (28) and Raj (22) hailing from Sri Lanka, arrived here a few days ago. They allegedly prepared bogus visas with the help of compatriot Ranjan and came to the airport to catch a London-bound private air carrier on Tuesday night.
They produced the travel documents before the immigration authorities. On examination the visas were found to be bogus.
On interrogation, they confessed to the crime.
Later, they were handed over to local police and were arrested and remanded to judicial custody, police added.
