Sugar prices slip down on thin buying support

Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) Spot sugar prices slipped down on thin buying supoort, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Sugar of small and medium grades declined by Rs three and Rs 11 per quintal respectively on increased offers by stockists.

Sugar of ex-mill in small and medium grades remained steady on moderate demand.

Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,753/1,805, medium grade: Rs 1,770/1,840.

Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,725/1,750, medium grade: Rs 1,752/1,780.
