Seventeen graduates commissioned into tri services

Pune, Oct 12 (UNI) A total seventeen medical graduates were commissioned into the three armed services at an impressive Commissioning Ceremony held at Armed Forces Medical College (AMFC) here today.

Congratulating the newly commissioned officers, AFMC Director and Commandant Lt Gen Saibal Mukherjee, who was the chief guest, called on them to put in their best effort to impart total health care and uphold the great traditions of the Indian Armed Forces Medical Services, an official release stated.

The Graduate Wing of the AFMC was established on August 4, 1962, and the first commissioning ceremony was held at AFMC in 1982, the release added.
