Sensex open 35 points in the green
Mumbai Oct 12 (UNI) The Bombay Stock Exchange Senseitive Index (Sensex) today opened 35 points in the green at 12,385, taking heart from strong performance by Infosys yesterday and also tracking firm global indices.
The Sensex however since then is range bound, having touched a high of 12,394 and a low of 12,315. Currently it is trading eight points down at 12,344.82.
IT sector which was up by 3.95 per cent yesterday, opened five points up today and is currently 0.61 per cent high. Metals, however is trading 0.65 per cent on the higher side and oil&Gas is trading 0.75 per cent high. Other amongst the negative pack are Auto, Bankex, Consumer Durables, Capital Goods and FMCG all down between 0.01 to 0.81 per cent.
Major gainers on the BSE-30 index are HDFC, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Reliance Industries, Tata Steel, Grasim Industries, Tata Motors, Maruti Udyog, and Dr Reddy's lab all up between 0.48 to 2.46 per cent.
Besides the losers are ICICI, HLL, Hero Honda, HDFC Bank, Cipla, ITC, L&T, BHEL, Bharti Airtel, and Bajaj Auto all down between 0.43 to 1.30 per cent.
