Proj to be completed in time: NBCC
Agartala, Oct 12: National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) Chairman-cum-Managing Director Arup Roy Choudhury has assured the Tripura Government that all the projects in the state would be completed in time.
Mr Roy Choudhury called on Chief Minister Manik Sarkar at the State Secretariat recently and apprised him of the activities of the NBCC in the state.
The NBCC had undertaken a number of projects, including border fencing, and was all set to carry out several other projects in the near future, Mr Roy Choudhury said adding the NBCC had also been assigned to work for the development of the areas falling under Agartala Municipal Council (AMC).
Mr Sarkar inquired of the border fencing work carried out by the NBCC in various parts of the state and asked the CMD to complete it on a priority basis.
The progress of various projects was also discussed in the meeting, where the Urban Development Minister Manik Dey, Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Badal Chaudhury, acting Chief Secretary S K Panda along with other officials were present.
Meanwhile, General Manager of the National Highway Authority of India(NHAI) S K Nirmal called on the Chief Minister and briefed him about the works of the NHAI in the state.
He also held a high level meeting with Mr Sarkar, PWD Minister Badal Chaudhury and other senior officials at the state Secretariat yesterday.
