Network General releases new products, plans expansion in India
Bangalore, Oct 12 (UNI) Announcing the launch of new suite of products, Network General today announced that it will ramp up its India operations over the next two years.
Company CEO Bill Gibson announcing the launch of new products Network Intelligence suite and the networkDNA Architecture told newsmen here that bulk of the research and development work for Network General was carried out in India housing 200, nearly two-thirds of the engineers employed by the company worldwide.
Stating that most of the Intellectual property for the company was generated from India he said the Indian operations not merely performed support functions but played a key role on product development cront, contributing over 60 per cent of the company's development resource worldwide.
Products such as Sniffer Adminsitrator, visualizer and portable were completely owned and developed by the Indian team based in Bangalore, he added.
He said by launching new products the company had repositioned itself as a one stop shop solution for service assurance and infrastructure optimisation.
The company was the world's leading provider of IT management solutions designed to integrate and simplify It management and troubleshooting across IT domains, assuring the delivery of IT services.
