Lopez wins wild card invite to Madrid Masters

MADRID, Oct 12 (Reuters) Spaniard Feliciano Lopez has been voted the third wild card entrant to next week's Madrid Masters Series tournament through a poll on Marca's Web site, the Spanish sports daily said today.

The 25-year-old, ranked number 81 in the world, was the overwhelming winner ahead of Juan Ignacio Chela, Thomas Johannson and Fabrice Santoro.

Lopez joins compatriot Carlos Moya and Britain's Tim Henman as the other wild cards.

The Madrid Masters begins on Monday with last year's winner Rafael Nadal and world number one Roger Federer among the 48 entries.
