IT officer sent to jail in bribery case

Patna, Oct 12 (UNI) Special CBI judge Patna Muni Lal Paswan today remanded an Income Tax (IT) officer in judicial custody in connection with a bribery case.

The CBI produced IT officer Ramanuj Prasad before the designated judge, booking him under different sections of prevention of the Corruption Act.

According to the charges, Prasad was arrested by the CBI sleuths in Gaya yesterday when accepting Rs 1000 as bribe.
