IIM to host management conclave "Horizons 2006"

Kozhikode, Oct 12 (UNI) Students from all the five Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), other top business schools and leading entrepreneurs of the country will participate in ''Horizons 2006,'' the annual flagship management conclave of the IIM, Kozhikode, beginning here on October 14.

The participants, including thought-leaders, executives and policy makers, will critically analyse the country's potential as a future global superpower, said a press release here today.

'Lord of the Words', a debate competition, 'Bharat Ek Khoj', a set of brain teasers about India with attractive daily cash prizes and a Case Study on 'Development of Calicut City as an IT destination,' would also be held as part of the Conclave.

Prominent speakers, who had confirmed their participation in the two-day event, were Kerala Industry Minister Elamaram Kareem, The Pioneer Editor Chandan Mitra, IIM-Bangalore Prof Dr Rajeev Gowda, Air Marshal (Retd) K C Cariappa, Indecomm Global Services CEO Naresh Ponnapa, Vygone India and Star Coach Managing Director Pavan Choudary and freelance journalist Swapan Dasgupta, among others, the release added.
