Hon doctorate to Justice Lahoti

Jabalpur, Oct 12 (UNI) Former Chief Justice of India R C Lahoti was today conferred a honorary doctorate by Rani Durgawati University here.

Governor Balram Jakhar presented the doctorate in the presence of President Dr A P J Abdul Kalam at the convocation ceremony.

Lt Gen D D S Sandhu, Dr V C Sahni and Dr Sneha Bhargava were conferred honorary doctorate. Dental surgeon Dr Anil Kohli was presented with ''Ayurvigyan Shri''.

Union Commerce Minister Kamal Nath, who was to be presented honorary D Litt, was not present as he is accompanying Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his trip to UK and finland.
