Globosport signs shooter Abhinav Bindra

Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) Globosport India today announced its association with one of India's brightest sports stars, world champion Abhinav Bindra, ace shooter and winner of several prestigious awards such as Khel Ratna and the Arjuna Award.

Abhinav already has accumulated a very impressive list of achievements in his young career. This includes the recent gold medal at the 44th World Shooting Championship held in Zagreb, Croatia, in July this year in the 10m Air Rifle category, thus becoming the first Indian to become a World Champion in shooting.

Abhinav also represented India at the Athens Olympics, breaking the existing Olympic record on his way to the finals.

With several improvements in his game and dedicated and focused training, he is definitely one of the favourites for a medal in the next Olympic Games in Beijing and also at the forthcoming Asian Games to be held in Doha, Qatar. Abhinav has also been honored with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the highest sports award for his excellent performance for the year 2001 by President APJ Kalam.
