Finnair to start Helsinki-Delhi flight on Oct 30: PM

Helsinki, Oct 12: Finnair, the Finnish national carrier, will start operating direct flight between Helsinki and Delhi from October 30, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said today.

He was making a statement at a joint press conference with Finnish Prime Minister Matti Vanhanen after talks between the two leaders here.

The flights will operate thrice a week between the two cities.

On complaints that Finnish people desiring to visit India were not getting visas, Dr Singh said ''we will revisit the present system to simplify the procedures for granting visas.''
