Ferrous metal rises on heavy industrial demand
Mumbai, Oct 12 (UNI) Ferrous metal rose on heavy industrial demand along with London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange today said.
In ferrous section: copper heavy, copper utensils, brass utensils and brass cuttings hiked by Rs 200 each per quintal on reduced stock supply.
In non-ferrous category: zinc slab and lead ingots edged up by Rs 400 and Rs 150 per quintal respectively on increase of fresh demand.
Tin slab went up by Re one per kg on better buying support.
Following were the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 37,200, Copper utensils - Rs 32,700, Brass utensils - Rs 22,900, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,600 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 10,900.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 40,800, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,000, Zinc slab - Rs 19,800, Lead ingots - Rs 7,050, Tin slab - Rs 521 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,890 (per kg).
