Facilities for wind energy project in MP
Bhopal, Oct 12 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has announced various facilities for wind energy projects being set up in the state.
The state government will provide exemption in commercial tax in procuring wind energy plant and related material. Non-conventional energy encouragement scheme will be effective for five years, says an official release.
Power produced through wind energy units can either be utilised for its own use or can be sold to any other consumer. Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission will determine the electricity rate on the basis of minimum rate fixed by the state government.
Small investors of Madhya Pradesh will get priority in wind energy project. Priority will be given for installing 500 kilowatt capacity wind turbine. The Urja Vikas Nigam will give approval for setting up projects upto 5 megawatt, while the state government will grant approval for projects above 5 megawatt.
