Best performing vendors of Bajaj received awards
Pune, Oct 12 (UNI) Around 30 best performing Bajaj vendors today received awards in Bronze&Silver categories after fulfilling specific criteria for quality, which demands Zero customer complaints for six straight months.
For challenging Silver and Gold level, the criteria are 12 and 24 months respectively for zero customer complaints.
Vice President (Commercial) Bajaj Auto, N H Hingorani told reporters that ''Scaling Experience'' is a Bajaj Auto initiative with 'TPM' as a frame work for achieving operational excellence for its vendor base, with a unique opportunity to understand BAL TOP management's vision under the aegis of their TPM Guru Mr Yamaguchi.
TPM award criteria set by Bajaj for its Vendors covers the entire range of manufacturing and gives individual targets on Productivity, Quality, Cost, Safety and Morale.
Business growth for TOP 15 Vendors in 4 years is equal to 350% compared to BAL growth of 105%.
TPM is a Prime Mover towards Excellence for the total supply-chain.
Total 32 vendor cluster was formed in May 2003 (supplying over 40% of the procurement value). They are given full technical support for TPM implementation by Bajaj Team through Expert visits, Training in Kaizen Schools, publishing Know-How manua
