B M Birla Science prizes for 2005 announced

Hyderabad, Oct 12 (UNI) Dr Arupkumar Pal, Dr Palash Sarkar, Dr Umesh V Waghmare, Dr Gautam Bhattacharyya, Dr Arindam Banerjee and Dr Amit P Sharma are selected for B M Birla Science Prizes 2005.

While Dr Arupkumar Pal and Dr Palash Sarkar jointly bagged the prize in Mathematics, Dr Umesh V Waghmare and Dr Gautam Bhattacharyya were selected for Physics.

Dr Arindam Banerjee was selected for Chemistry and Dr Amit P Sharma for Biology, a release from the B M Birla Science Centre today said.
