Army jawan from Mysore cremated with state honours
Mysore, Oct 12 (UNI) N S Manesh, an Army jawan from this district, who was killed in an encounter with terrorists in Kashmir recently, was laid to rest with full state honours in Narayanapura village of K R Nagara taluk near here today.
The body of the 23-year-old soldier was brought to his native village late last night from Bangalore after being air lifted from the strife-torn state.
Mahesh's parents said that two other brothers of the slain soldier were also serving in the army in different battalions. He had visited his parents only three months ago.
The entire village, which was struck with grief, mourned its brave son. According to villagers nearly 20 youth belonging to the village were serving in the army.
