14 Wushu probables finalised for Qatar Asian Games
Lucknow, Oct 12 (UNI) Wushu Association of India (WAI) has selected 14 probables for the 8-week coaching camp of the Indian squad to participate in the Wushu competition at the Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, starting from December 1.
Wushu is a Chinese martial art form and this is the first time India would be participating in this discipline at the Asian Games, Association general secretary Anand Kacker told UNI here today.
He said the camp commences from October 15.
The probables: Naresh Sharma, Sandeep Yadav (Delhi), K Ranjit Singh, W Inunganba Singh (Army Sports Control Board), Bimoljit Singh, Rajendra Singh Meena, O Joy Singh, Somorjit Singh (Central Reserve Police Force), Sandeep Kumar (Haryana), Dhiren Meitei (Manipur), Ibung Singh (Meghalaya), Miss Toshibala (Assam), Ashok Kaishing (Assam Rifles) and Vijiendra Singh (Uttar Pradesh).
