Sugar prices eases further on poor demand

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Spot sugar prices today eased further on poor demand, traders at the Bombay Sugar Merchants' Association said.

Sugar of small grade fell by Rs three on thin buying support while medium grade remained steady on moderate demand.

Sugar of ex-mill in small and medium grades drifted lower by Rs 10 and Rs 13 per quitnal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure.

Following were the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,756/1,812, medium grade: Rs 1,781/1,845.

Ex-mill: Small grade: Rs 1,725/1,750, medium grade: Rs 1,752/1,780.
