Student killed, 4 injured in road mishap in Punjab

Hoshiarpur, Oct 11 (UNI) A college student was killed and four others injured when the three-wheeler in which they were traveling collided with a state transport bus near Punga village, near here today.

According to police, the deceased Sarabjit Kaur (20), a student of BA final year of local S D College died on the spot while three other students of the same college and the driver of the three-wheeler were seriously injured in the mishap.

The students were going to attend college from Kahri village.

According to the police sources, all the injured who were identified as Maninder Kaur, sister of deceased Sarabjit Kaur, Pawandeep Kaur, Satpal Singh and Harpal Singh, driver of the three-wheeler were admitted in the local Civil Hospital. Harpal Singh was referred to DMC, Ludhiana as his condition was stated to be serious.
