Stamps smelling of sandalwood!

Chennai, Oct 11 (UNI) The Postal Department would soon come out stamps that would exude the fragrance of sandalwood.

Tamil Nadu Circle Chief Post Master General Ms Radhika Doraisamy told reporters here yesterday that the stamps would hit the post offices either next month or in December.

Highlighting the programmes in connection with the celebration of World Postal Day today, organised as part of National Postal week, she said the department would widen the scope of Pack Post, a total packaging solution.

Within a span of one month of its launch, the department had sold about 2000 cartons made of heavy-duty corrugated cardboard, used for packing materials ranging from 20 kg to 30 kg and transported to various parts of the country and abroad.
