Sam refuses coment on Moily report, says view on quota unchanged

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) A day after the Oversight Committee put out a final report on OBC quota in elite institutions, Knowledge Commission Chairman Sam Pitroda said his stand against reservation remained unchanged.

''Our stand on the quota is very clear right from the beginning, ''Mr Pitroda said, replying to questions at an Open House organised by the Confedration of India Industry(CII) here.

He said the Knowledge Commission had had an interaction with Mr Moily and his team, but its thinking on the issues was the same as before.

He refused to comment on Oversight Committee recommendations, saying it was for the government to do what it wanted with the report, and he was concerned only with fulfiling the mandate given to him.

''I have not seen the report yet,'' he added.
