Punjab Intranet Case: Hearing on Nov 8
Chandigarh, Oct 11 (UNI) The Punjab and Haryana High Court today adjourned the hearing on a petition which sought a CBI probe into the alleged violation of foreign exchange conservation rules and regulations by Ran Inder Singh, the son of Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, in the establishment of Punjab Intranet firm.
The petition was filed by former Union minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, an Akali MP, and some other Shiromani AkaliDal (Badal) leaders.
The division bench of Justices Jagdish Singh Khehar and S D Anand, on the request put in by the counsel for the petitioners as also the respondents, posted the hearing for November 8.
The petitioners have challenged the findings of the Justice Nehra Commission which had gone into the matter after the alleged violation of foreign exchange rules and regulations by respondent Ran Inder Singh and some others appeared in the media.
