NCC to impart job oriented training: ADG
Chandigarh, Oct 11 (UNI) Emphasising the need for making NCC training more job oriented rather than restricting the entry of cadets to armed forces only, Maj Gen R K Karwal, Additional Director General (B) HQ NCC said that efforts would be made to publicise and popularise NCC in rural areas with the objective of attracting more rural cadets. He also elaborated on the new Key Result Areas that have recently been laid down by the NCC.
While interacting with the Cadets and Staff of NCC Directorate Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh during his two-day visit to the city yesterday, Maj Gen Karwal applauded the efforts made by the officers of the Directorate in enhancing the image of NCC in this region.
The Additional Director General reviewed the training, social and administrative activities of the Directorate.
He also visited the Naval training camp being conducted at the Sukhna Lake and interacted with nearly 30 cadets, including girls, from Jammu and Kashimir, who are attending the camp.
