Medical students beat security guards, enters RIMS director's room
Ranchi, Oct 11 (UNI) A group of students of the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences today entered director's chamber forcibly, demanding promotion and special arrangements for checking their examination papers.
Director of RIMS Dr Narendra Agarwal told UNI that a group of about twenty five students, mostly in the MBBS final year, today entered his chamber demanding thier promotion and special facility for checking their examination papers.
Mr Agarwal said the students alleged that the teachers were not present in the classes regularly.
After the altercation, the students became agitated and broke glasses of the gallery outside the chamber, he aded.
The situation became tense as the agitated students beat the security guards and manhandled mediapersons.
A case in this regard has been registered in the local Bariyatu police station.
