Mastek Q1 net stands at Rs 17.94 crore

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Software company Mastek Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 17.94 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 12.62 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 87.12 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 124.13 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

As per the Consolidated Results, the Group has posted a net profit after tax and minority interest of Rs 21.19 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 15.02 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 153.09 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 to Rs 198.92 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2006.

Commenting on the operations, Mr Sudhakar Ram, the Chief Executive Officer, said ''the results achieved this quarter, especially with both the UK and US operations, registered strong growth. Although the order booking was below expectations, I do see a significant up-shift in the next quarter, based on a strong pipe-line.'' UNI SN PM NV1635
