PM to receive degree from Cambridge
London, Oct 11: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be conferred an Honorary degree by the prestigious Cambridge Univesity today nearly after 50 years of obtaining a degree from the Institution.
Dr Singh, who graduated in Economics from Cambridge, will be honoured by Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburg and Chancellor of the varsity at a function.
He had received first class honours degree in economics from the university in 1957.
The Prime Minister was conferred with honorary doctorate of civil law in July last year by Oxford University.
Ending his British visit, Dr Singh will leave for Finland to attend the seventh India-EU Summit.
