Mahanagar Gas pays 40 pc dividend to Mah Govt

Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) Mahanagar Gas Ltd (MGL) has declared 40 per cent dividend to the Maharashtra Government.

Mr P K Gupta, MD, Mahanagar along with Mr Philip Croft, Technical Director and his senior Management team handed over the Cheque of Rs 17.6 lakh to Mr D Sankaran, Chief Secretary in the presence of Mr V K Jairath Secretary (industries) and Ms S Gokhale Principal Secretary (Environment).

The company is a joint venture between GAIL and British Gas Group (UK) and they hold 49.75 per cent each. The balance 0.5 per cent is held by the Maharashtra Government, the release said.
