Kargil facing shortage of doctors, medicine
Srinagar, Oct 11: The Kargil district in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir is facing shortage of doctors and medicine.
According to official sources, there are 60 vacancies of doctors in the district besides shortage of medicine and other facilities in the sub-district hospital.
Meanwhile, the Minister of state for health power Ghulam Hussain during his visit to the district that all the vacancies of doctors will be filled on contractual soon.
The minister took serious note of non-availability of medicines in some sub centres and direct the Chief Medical Officer to issue the medicines before October 20.
Basharat Bukari, youth president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), youth wing, announced a grant of Rs One lakh for construction of a patients waiting room.
The minister assured the people that all the 200 damaged electric poles will be replaced under RGGVY and APDRP sachems.
