Henman gets wild card invite to Madrid Masters
MADRID, Oct 11 (Reuters) Britain's Tim Henman has been given one of the wild card entries to next week's Masters Series tournament in Madrid, organisers said today.
The 32-year-old, who lost to world number one Roger Federer in the final of last week's Japan Open in Tokyo, will be playing at the Madrid tournament for the fourth time, his best result coming when he reached the third round in 2004.
Spain's Carlos Moya has been granted one of the other wild card entries, while one of the remaining two berths will be awarded after a poll of readers on the Web page of Spanish sports daily Marca.
Feliciano Lopez, Fabrice Santoro, Thomas Johansson and Juan Ignacio Chela are the candidates for the Marca poll.
The Madrid Masters begins on Monday with last year's winner Rafael Nadal and Federer amongst the 48 entries.
