Heavy rains pound Dharamshala
Dharamshala, Oct 11 (UNI) Heavy rain pounded the hill station of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh today, forcing people to scurry for cover.
The showers were followed by a hailstorm that lasted for an hour plummeting day temperature in the town by a few degrees.
The sky, however, cleared out after over an hour.
Meanwhile, other parts of the state had a bright day today with people basking in the sunshine after a prolonged monsoon season this year.
The sky was also clear over the twin tribal districts of Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti, official sources said, adding that the day and night temperatures were beginning to dip with winter season round the corner.
Morning and evenings are also getting cooler in Shimla and other surrounding areas and people have been forced to use their woolens.
