HC appoints panel to survey Gilbert Hill
Mumbai, Oct 11 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today constituted a two-member committee to survey the Gilbert Hill to find whether any damage has been caused to the historical site owing to the constructions around it.
A division bench, comprising justices R M Lodha and S A Bobde, constituted the committee while hearing a public interest litigation filed by Eshanul Nadvi alleging that constructions around Gilbert Hill had caused damage to it.
The court has appointed Sardar Patel Engineering College principal S Y Mayeskar and Mr Cyrus R Tata, a geologist, to survey the site and submit a report within one month. The case will come up for further hearing on December 7.
