EPIL-pays 20 per cent dividend for 2005-06

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The public sector Engineering Projects (India) Limited (EPIL), under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, handed over a cheque of Rs 5.31 crore towards dividend for the year 2005-06 to Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Santosh Mohan Dev here today.

The cheque was presented by EPIL Chairman and Managing Director Saleem Hamid in the presence of Ms Kanti Singh, Minister of State, Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Dr R C Panda, Secretary of the Ministry and other Senior Officials.

Earlier, in February 2006, EPIL had paid interim dividend of Rs 1.77 crore, being five per cent of the paid-up capital. With this, the total dividend pay out comes to Rs 7.08 crore, being 20 per cent of the paid-up capital.

The company has paid dividend for the third consecutive year. It had earlier paid 10 per cent dividend for the year 2003-04, after a gap of 26 years and 15 per cent dividend for the year 2004-05.
