EC directive on transfer of officials

Bhopal, Oct 11 (UNI) The Chief Electoral Officer has directed the Madhya Pradesh government to ensure transfer of state administrative service officials, including Tahsildars, Naib Tahsildars and police officials, posted for over four years in Vidisha Lok Sabha and Malehra Assembly constituencies.

The CEO has sent a letter to the General Administration Department Secretary in this regard in view of the byelection, scheduled on October 30.

The directive will be applicable to officials posted in the areas of the constituencies spread over in Vidisha, Sehore, Raisen and Chhatarpur districts, official sources said today.

The CEO has directed the GAD to implement the Election Commission's directives issued on September 18, 2003 with regard to transfers.
