Dr Reddy's Lab gets nod for pharmaceutical SEZs in AP

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) Pharmaceutical leader Dr Reddy's Laboratories will be setting up two Special Economic Zones in Andhra Pradesh and avail of all the benefits of the SEZs, besides improving its competitiveness in the Indian and global market.

The company has already received approval from the Board of Approvals in the Commerce Ministry.

The two SEZ special product facilities will be set up in Medak and Srikakulam district in Andhra Pradesh.

Besides Dr Reddy's SEZ for pharmaceuticals, another special product SEZ for bio technology would be set in in Medak district. A similar one would be established in Mahaboobnagar district in the State.

In its recent meeting of the BoA, Andhra Pradesh also got four SEZs for the IT/ITES SEZ in Ranga Reddy district, bordering Hyderabad. While three of these would be built by Mayatas Properties Private Ltd, one would be brought up by Emaar Hills Township Pvt Ltd.
