Dharmasthala records 7 cm rain
Bangalore, Oct 11 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Monsoon was weak over the State. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over the State. Dharmasthala recorded heavy rainfall of 7 cms.
Other chief amounts of rainfall(cm): Belthangadi 5, Ponampet, Magadi 4 each, Tyagarthi 3, Bailhongal, Sagar, Bandipura, Nagamangala, Maddur, Kanakapura, Chitradurga 2 each, Haliyal, Khanapur, Hubli, Bhagamandala, Virajpet, Jayapura 1 each. Maximum temperatures rose at most places being appreciably so at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and rose at a few places over Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at a few places over the State.
Minimum temperatures fell at many places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at a few places North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 34.8 deg.
Celsius and Belgaum AP recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.4 deg. Celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Friday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over the State.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Kolar districts and at isolated places over remaining districts of the State.
Local forecast: Generally cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 29 deg. Celsius and 20 deg. Celsius respectively.
