Chouhan promises to develop Bada Malehara in big way

Chhatarpur, MP, Oct 11 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today promised to initiate development in a big way in Bada Malehra area in the backward Bundelkhand region of the state.

Mr Chouhan, while addressing party workers here after BJP candidate Kapoorchand Ghuvara filed his nomination paper from Malehara assembly constituency, said he will make up for the lack of development in the past 50 years.

He said the state government had fulfilled its promise by opening up medical college in Sagar and a college in Bada Malehra.

He pointed out that the district would also benefit from Ken-Betwa river link project.

State BJP President Satyanarain Jatia, Mr Ghuvara and other leaders expressed their views.

Dr Jatia said the party's victory from the seat will put a stamp in support of the government's achievements and policies.

Malehara constituency, home turf of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti, is slated to go for by-poll on October 30.
