Charkha-Sanjoy Ghose Media Fellowship 2006 announced

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) The Charkha Development Communication Network, an NGO working to empower rural communities through communication, has announced the ''Charkha-Sanjoy Ghose Media Fellowship 2006 on the role of women journalists in conflict areas for Jammu and Kashmir.

The NGO has invited applications by November 6 from Jammu and Kashmir-based women writers and journalists.

Applications are invited in Hindi, English and Urdu. There will be three fellowships with a total value of Rs 12,000 each. The winners will be selected by a jury of eminent people in the media and academia both in Jammu and Kashmir and from the national mainstream.

The Fellowships will be awarded on December 7 to mark the birth anniversary of the Charkha founder and social activist Sanjoy Ghose.
