Centre must take steps to end LKB strike : Federation
Kochi, Oct 11 (UNI) All India Private Sector Bank Officers Federation today urged the Centre and the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to take immediate steps to end the ongoing strike of Lord Krishna Bank (LKB) employees against the bank's merger with Centurion Bank of Punjab (CBoP).
In a release here, the Federation said it was also considering to be part of the agitation to extend their solidarity for the strike.
The Federation would call upon its 10,000 and odd members in Kerala to join the strike in support of the demands raised by LKB unions.
'' If the LKB merger experiment succeeds, it would open the flood-gates for new generation banks to the State and it would be the death-knell of social banking in Kerala,'' the release added.
