Bus accident toll 5

Mandla(MP), Oct 11 (UNI) The death toll in yesterday's accident involving a private bus rose to 5 with 2 more succumbing to injuries at the district hospital here last night.

Of the total 20 injured, 10 seriously injured had been admitted there, police said.

The speeding private bus coming here from Mawai overturned about 30 Km from here at Anjania village yesterday when the driver attempted to save a cyclist.

The district authorities sanctioned exgratia of Rs 5,000 each to the next of kin of the dead, Rs 2000 each to seriously injured and Rs 1000 each to other injured, official sources said.
